ዛሬ የዋለው የሰበር ቅሬታ ሰሚ ችሎት አርቲስት ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁን (ቴዲ አፍሮ) ላይ የሁለት ዓመት እና

የ18 ሺህብር ቅጣት የወሰነበት ሲሆን፣ በዚህ የቅጣት ውሳኔ መሠረት ቴዲ አፍሮ የዛሬ ወር ይፈታል።

ሰበር ችሎቱ የተሰየመው በ5 ዳኞች የነበረ ሲሆን፣ ችሎቱን ሲከታተሉ የነበሩ በርካታ የቴዲ አፍሮ

አድናቂዎች፣ ቤተሰቦቹና ወዳጅ ዘመዶቹ ፍርዱን ሲሰሙ ደስታቸውን በጩኸትና በዘፈን ገልፀዋል።

ዓቃቤሕግ የስድስት ዓመት እስራት ሊፀናበት ይገባል ብሎ የተከራከረ መሆኑን መዘገባችን አይዘነጋም።

በቴዲ አፍሮ ላይዛሬ ፍርድ ቤቱ የሁለት ዓመት (24 ወራት) እስራት ስለወሰነበት እጁ ከተያዘበትና

ከታሰረበት ከመጋቢት 8 ቀን2000 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ ያለው ጊዜ ይቆጠራል። በዚህም መሠረት እስከዛሬ 15

ወራት ታስሯል።

በኢትዮጵያሕግ መሠረት አንድ እስረኛ ከአንድ ዓመት እስር ላይ የ4 ወራት አመክሮ ተቀንሶለት 8 ወር

የታሰራል። ቴዲ አፍሮምከሁለቱ ዓመት ላይ 8 ወራት ተቀንሶለት የእስር ጊዜው 16 ወራት ይሆናል። በዚህ

ስሌት መሠረት ልክ የዛሬ ወርልክ የዛሬ ወር ነኀሴ 8 ቀን ይፈታል።

ዳኞቹ 21 ደቂቃ የፈጀ ትንታኔ ውሳኔያቸውን ከማሰማታቸው በፊት 21 ደቂቃ የፈጀ ሕጋዊ ትንታኔ

ሰጥተዋል።

              Teddy Afro to leave jail next month

It was a foggy andgloomy day in Addis yet news that brightened the day just came.Ethiopian

popular singer Teddy Afro is expected to leave jail in Julyor August after the Appeal Court of

Cassation this morning decided tomaintain the two year sentence given by the apellate

court.Thepresiding judge Alem Awole has ruled in favour of the singer.

Theappeal filed by the prosecutor protesting the reduction of Teddy?sprison terms from six to two

years was rejected. His fans, who were inthe courthouse, shouted and wept with joy.Teddy has

already been injail for a year and three months.But the standard procedures for allinmates mean

that he is getting out of jail in nearly a month or two.

The singer who was first sentenced a six-year prison term on December 5, 2008 but the term was

later cut to two years.

Holy Ark Announcement Due Friday.

(IsraelNN.com)Ethiopian church leader says Friday, June 26, marks the right time tounveil the Biblical Ark of the

Covenant, which he says has

been hiddenin his church for centuries.

Abuna Pauolos, Patriarch of theEthiopian Orthodox Church, was in Rome this week to meet with PopeBenedict

XVI. While there, he told

reporters that the time had come toreveal before the world the Holy Ark. He said that the holy containerhas been

in the custody of his church for

hundreds of years.

Pauloussaid he would make the full announcement this Friday, June 26, 2 PMlocal time (3 PM Israel time, 8 AM

New York time) at a press

conferencein Rome.

The claim that the Biblical Holy Ark has been kept atthe Church, in the city of Axum, is an old one, but this is the

firsttime that the Church plans

to actually reveal the actual container, ornews of it. It is not known whether the Church claims that the

actualTablets of the Law are inside it.

Copies of the alleged Ark are kept in many other churches in Ethiopia.

The news of the impending announcement was first reported by the Italian news agency Adnkronos.Pauolos told

the news outlet, "Soon the

world will be able to admirethe Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of thetablets of the law

that G-d delivered to Moses,

and the center ofsearches and studies for centuries."

Pauolos said "The Ark of theCovenant has been in Ethiopia for many centuries. As Patriarch, I haveseen it with

my own eyes, and only a few,

highly-qualified personscould do the same - until now."

World Wide Commemoration events held for June 2005 TPLF Massacres

WorldWide events on June 7th 2009, to commemorate the victims of the June2005 Post Ethiopian Election massacres. Ethiopians from around

theworld held various types of events to commemorate the Ethiopian Martyrsof democracy. (See pictures below)

On 8th June 2005, TPLF?s heavily armed Agazi forces under the fullcontrol by Meles Zenawi were deployed in the streets of Addis Ababa

andstarted massacring innocent civilians for taking part in ademonstration demanding the respect of the outcome of the elections inthe country.

Most of the dead had gunshots to the head and hundredswere wounded while thousands were abducted and sent to remote militaryprison

camps.

With all the overwhelming amount of evidence of crimes against humanity no one has been charged with these crimes to date.

The Ethiopian Community in Washington is Hating on DLA Piper

Someof our DC-based readers may have spotted this DLA Piper hate ad makingits way around

town via taxi.

Strange.Our first response was, "Bad PR for DLA Piper, but doesn't everybodyalready know that

blood money is the currency of Biglaw?" Our secondresponse was to find out about this

legislation and reach out to thefirm.

The American Lawyer wrote in 2008 about the Piper's playing the flute for the Ethiopian

government. Partners Dick Armey, a former House majority leader, and Gary Kleinlobbied on

Capitol Hill on behalf of Ethiopian Prime Minister MelesZenawi, who angered human rights

advocates in 2005 with violentcrackdowns on protesters during the elections there. The

AmericanLawyer reports that the Piper was playing to the tune of over $50,000 amonth. That's a

whole lot of injera.

An ATL reader sent us this photo, saying:

I saw this cab on Connecticut Ave. in front of the Mayflower yesterday and it caught my attention.

The taxi ad refers to a billintroduced by Senators Feingold and Leahy "to reaffirm United

Statesobjectives in Ethiopia and encourage critical democratic andhumanitarian principles and

practices." Or. in other words, a bill toencourage Ethiopia not to inflict violent crackdowns on its

citizens.DLA Piper's lobbying efforts may have paid off. The bill has beenlanguishing with the

Committee on Foreign Relations since 2008.

DLA Piper's spokesman told us that the firm's representation of theEthiopian government actually

ended in November. A statement from thefirm refers indirectly to the protesting taxi driver (and

other DLAPiper haters): "There are some very vocal elements of the EthiopianDiaspora,

particularly in the Washington area, who are opponents of thecurrent administration in Ethiopia

and go to great lengths to try toembarrass or demean those who are associated with it."

የሚታዘዙ የምርመራ ዓይነቶችን በአስተማማኝ ሁኔታ ያከናውናል፡፡

መሳሪያውን ማምረት የተጀመረው ከአንድ ዓመትበፊት መሆኑን፣ ለዚህም ከመድሃት አስተዳደርና ቁጥጥር ባለሥልጣን የብቃት ማረጋገጫ ሰርቲፊኬት

(ሜዲካል ዲቫይስማኒፋክቸሪንግ;) ማግኘቱን፣ የኢትዮጵያ የጤናና የስነ ምግብ ምርምር ኢንስቲትዩትም ሙያዊ አስተያየት እንዲሰጥበትበድርጅቱ

መጠየቁንና ኢንስቲትዩቱም ጥያቄውን ተቀብሎ ሥራውን እያከናወነ መሆኑንና በጨረሰ ጊዜ ውጤቱንእንደሚያስታውቅ አስረድተዋል፡፡

“ድርጅቱ የመጀመሪያ ምርቱን የሸጠውና ሥራ ላይ ያዋለው ካይሮ ግብፅነው፡፡ በሱዳንም እየተሠራበት ሲሆን ሶማሊያ ውስጥም እየተሞከረ ነው፡፡ ለናይጄሪያም

ሳምፕል ተልኳል፡፡ በሀገርውስጥ ደግሞ የመከላከያ ወይም የጦር ኃይሎች ሆስፒታልና ሌሎችም በርካታ የግል ሕክምና ተቋማት በኪራይእየተጠቀሙበት

ይገኛሉ” ሲሉ አቶ ሽመልስ ተናግረዋል፡፡

ለሃያ አራት ሰዓት ኪራይ የሚከፈለው 20ብር ሲሆን ይህም ከሁለት ዶላር በታች መሆኑን፣ የኪራዩን ዋጋ ዝቅ ለማድረግ ያስፈለገበት ዋነኛው ምክንያት

የውጭአገር ኩባንያዎች በተለይም ቻይናና ሕንድ ገበያውን እንዳይሻሙ ለማድረግ ሲባል መሆኑን አስታውቀዋል፡፡ የተበላሸውንበሌላ አዲስ መሳሪያ ከመተካት

በስተቀር የጥገና ሥራ እንደማይካሄድ ከአቶ ሽመልስ ማብራሪያ ለመረዳት ተችሏል፡፡

የመጀመሪያምርቱ የተሸጠውና ሥራ ላይ የዋለውም ግብፅ ውስጥ የሆነበት ዋነኛው ምክንያት “ግብፅ ከድርጅቱ የምትገዛውን ይህንኑመሳሪያ የምትጠቀመው

በሀገሯ ውስጥ ብቻ ሳይሆን በሰሜን አፍሪካና መካከለኛው ምሥራቅ ሀገሮች ውስጥም ጭምር በመሆኑነው ብለዋል፡፡ ይህ አይነቱም እንቅስቃሴ ድርጅቱ ምርቱን

በብዛት ለመላክና ሰፊ የገቢ ዕድል ለመፍጠር የሚያስችሉሁኔታዎችን እንደሚያመቻች አስረድተዋል፡፡

ዘርፍ በሚሊኒየሙየልማት ግብ ለማሳካት የምታደርገውን ርብርብ የሚያግዝ፣ ያለውን የጤና ችግር ለመቅረፍ አስተዋጽኦ የሚያደርግመሆኑን ኤክስኪዩቲቭ

ኦፊሰሩ አስረድተዋል፡፡

አቶ አቤል የሻነህ የኢትዮጵያ ጤናና ስነ ምግብ ምርምርኢንስቲትዩት ሙያዊ አስተያየቱን በተመለከተ ተጠይቀው ድርጀቱ ለኢንስትትዩቱ የጻፈው ደብዳቤ

መድረሱን፣ ጉዳዩበሚመለከታቸው ባለሙያዎች እየታየ መሆኑን ገልፀዋል፡፡

የመንገዱ ግንባታ ከመካሄዱ በፊት በአካባቢው በነበረ የትራፊክ መጨናነቅምክንያት ተሽከርካሪዎች ጎተራን ለማለፍ ከ20-40 ደቂቃ ይፈጅባቸው እንደነበረ

ያስታወሱት አቶ ፍቃዱ በአሁኑወቅት ግን ከሁሉም አቅጣጫ የሚመጡ ተሽከርካሪዎች በሁለት ደቂቃ ባነሰ ጊዜ እንደሚሻገሩም ጠቁመዋል፡፡

የሥርፍርድ ቤቶች (ከመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ፍርድ ቤት እስከ ጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት;) መሠረታዊ የሕግ ስህተት ፈጽመውብናል በማለትአርቲስት ቴዎድሮስ ካሳሁን (ቴዲ አፍሮ;) እና የፌዴራል ዐቃቤ ሕግ ለጠቅላይ ፍርድ

ቤት ሰበር ሰሚ ችሎትያቀረቧቸውን አቤቱታዎች ፍርድ ቤቱ መርምሮ ዐቃቤ ሕግ ካቀረባቸው አቤቱታዎች አንዱ ብቻ እንደሚያስቀርብ አስታወቀ፡፡

ፍርድ ቤቱ ግንቦት 14 ቀን 2001 ዓ.ም. ከሰዓትበኋላ በዋለው ችሎት እንዳስታወቀው፣ አርቲስት ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁን (ቴዲ አፍሮ;) ባቀረበው አቤቱታ በዋናነት በማንሳትየተከራከረው ፈጽሟል በተባለው ወንጀል

በዳግማዊ ምኒልክ ሆስፒታል ተፈፀመ በተባለው አግባብነት የሌለው የአስከሬንምርመራ ሰነድ እና የቀን መሳሳት፣ ገጭቷል የተባለው የመኪና ሰሌዳ ቁጥር፣ ቀለምና ቦታ አይታወቅም እና በአንድማስረጃ ደብል

እስታንዳርድ የስር ፍርድ ቤቶች ተጠቅመው ሕገ መንግሥታዊ መብቴን በመጣስ የሕግ ስህተት ተፈጽሞብኛልየሚለውን አቤቱታ መመልከቱን ገልጿል፡፡

ፍርድ ቤቱ የስር ፍርድ ቤቶች ፈጽመዋል የተባለውን የሕግስህተት መዝገቡን አስቀርቦ ሲመረምር፣ ከሆስፒታሉ በስህተት ቀርቧል የተባለው የሰነድ ማስረጃ፣ ስህተት ሳይሆንየትርጉም መጣጣም ባለመኖሩ ክሱን

ለማስተካከል መሆኑ፣ የቀን ስህተት የተባለውም ወደ ዋና መዝገብ ሲገለበጥ የተሰራስህተት በመሆኑን የሕግ ስህተት ሊባል እንደማይችል በመግለጽ አቤቱታውን እንዳልተቀበለው አስታውቋል፡፡

ዐቃቤሕግ ካቀረባቸው አቤቱታዎች መካከል አርቲስት ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁን (ቴዲ አፍሮ;) ተደራራቢ ወንጀል ፈጽሞ (ሰው ገድሎበማምለጥና፣ የተገጨን ሰው ባለመርዳትና መንጃ ፈቃድ ሳይኖረው በማሽከርከር;) እያለ

የስር ፍርድ ቤት ከመነሻው ዝቅበማድረግ የወሰነው ቅጣት አግባብ አለመሆኑን ባቀረበው አቤቱታ ላይ ከፍተኛ ክርክር እንደተደረገበትና ወደ ሰበርሰሚ ችሎት (አምስት ዳኞች የሚሰየሙበት;) መቅረብ እንዳለበት

መወሰኑን ችሎቱ በማስታወቅ ያስቀርባል በተባለው ጉዳይየሁለቱን ወገኖች የቃል ክርክር ለመስማት ለሰኔ 4 ቀን 2001 ቀጠሮ ሰጥቷል፡፡

የመንግሥት ኮሙኒኬሽን ጉዳዮች ጽ/ቤት ሚኒስትርዴኤታ አቶ ኤርሚያስ ለገሠ ሰኞ ዕለት ለጋዜጠኞች በሰጡት መግለጫ የሚኒስትሮች ም/ቤት ሰሞኑን ያፀደቀው መመሪያየኤርትራ መንግሥት በተለየ ሁኔታ

ከሚመራቸው የንግድና የፀጥታ ተቋማት ጋር በቀጥታም ይሁን በተዘዋዋሪ ትስስርከሌላቸው በስተቀር ኤርትራዊያን ንብረታቸውን በማግኘት እንዲያለሙ ዕድል ይሰጣል፡፡

ከአገር እንዲወጡየተደረጉት ኤርትራዊያን ከዚህ ቀደም የግል ንብረት ወይም ድርጅት ካላቸውና ንብረቱ ወይም ንግዱ ያልተሸጠናያልፈረሠ ሆኖ በወኪሎቻቸው የሚተዳደር ከሆነ አስፈላጊው ማስረጃ እያቀረቡ

ንብረቱን ወይም ድርጅቱን መረከብይችላሉ፡፡

እንደ አቶ ኤርምያስ ገለፃ ኤርትራዊያኑ በመመሪያው መሠረት ንብረታቸው ተሸጦ በዝግየባንክ ሒሳብ የተቀመጠ ከሆነ ካለወለድ በብር እንዲያገኙ ይደረጋል፡፡ ሆኖም ገንዘቡ ለባለቤቶቹ የሚመለሰውአስፈላጊው የዕዳ

ማጣሪያ እየተካሄደ ነው ተብሏል፡፡ በተጨማሪም በግል በባንኮች ያስቀመጡት ገንዘብ ካለእንዲያንቀሳቅሱ ይፈቀድላቸዋል፡፡

ዕዳ ያለባቸው ኤርትራዊያንም ያለባቸውን ዕዳ ያለምንም ቅጣትና ወለድእንዲከፍሉ እንደሚደረግ፣ ተመላሽ ኤርትራዊያኑ በንግድና ኢንቨስትመንት ሥራ በሚሠማሩበትም ጊዜ እንደ አገር ውስጥባለሀብት እንዲቆጠሩ

በመመሪያው መካተቱን አቶ ኤርሚያስ ገልፀዋል፡፡

ኤርትራዊያን በንብረታቸው ተጠቃሚ የሚያደርገው ይኸው የመንግሥት ውሳኔ የተወረሰ ንብረት እንደመመለስ ተደርጎ ሊቆጠር እንደማይገባ አቶ ኤርሚያስ አሳስበዋል፡፡

ኢትዮጵያና ኤርትራ በ1990 ግንቦት ወር በድንበር ግጭት ወደ ጦርነት ማምራታቸው የሚታወስ ነው፡፡

ለተመላሽ ኤርትራዊያን የተሰጡ ዕድሎች

- ማስረጃ እያቀረቡ የግል ንብረቶቻቸውን፣ ድርጅቶቻቸውን መረከብ ይችላሉ፣

- ንብረቶቻቸው ተሸጠው በባንክ በዝግ ሒሳብ የተቀመጠ ከሆነ ያለወለድ በብር ገንዘቡን ይወስዳሉ፣

- በግላቸው በባንኮች ያስቀመጡት ገንዘብ ካለ ማንቀሳቀስ ይችላሉ፣

- በንግድና በኢንቨስትመንት ሲሠማሩ እንደ አገር ውስጥ ባለሀብት ይታያሉ፣
